Our Goal
Our hope is that you'll find one or two mentors who will listen, reflect on your experiences through the lens of their own, and offer encouragement and perspective for your current season.
Our mentors bring a range of experiences across corporate retail and CPG, businesses large and small, entrepreneurship, education, and more. Finding the right fit can take time. We're here to help you connect with someone whose experiences, perspective, and approach complement your own wiring and stage of life.
Mentoring vs. Coaching
What is the difference between these two?
A mentor is someone who walks alongside you, listens to understand, asks thoughtful questions, and shares relevant life and professional experiences to offer perspective. Mentorship is often shaped by the relationship and the wisdom gained through shared experiences.
A coach, on the other hand, typically works with you through a more intentional process designed to support specific goals, growth, or outcomes. Coaching is often a professional service, while mentorship is rooted in the sharing of experience, perspective, and encouragement.
Both can create meaningful opportunities for reflection, growth, and change.
Tips For Finding a Great Mentor
Look beyond age and title. Seek people with varied experiences and perspectives. Mentors outside your current company can offer valuable insight without being tied to your organization's culture or internal dynamics.
Know yourself and what you need. Consider where you're growing, what questions you're carrying, and the kind of encouragement or perspective that would be most helpful in this season.
Look for openness and authenticity. Great mentors are willing to share not only their successes, but also their challenges, failures, and what those experiences taught them.
Find someone who listens well. Meaningful mentorship isn't always about receiving answers or being told what to do. Sometimes, growth begins with having space to articulate what we're thinking, ask the questions we've been hesitant to ask, and discover our own next steps with someone willing to listen.
